The Redesign of a Digital Flagship

Overview

The goal was to redesign and re-platform the Kenneth Cole eCommerce site to accurately express the brand's new position and appeal to a new target audience. The process garnered an elevated creative strategy that pulled apart the siloed sections of content and commerce, blending them to create a comprehensive experience aligning with global brand objectives. Working with King & Partners and Media Hive on the transition, the result was a digital flagship that simultaneously drove sales and brand engagement.

The Design, UX and Development

The first step was a migration from GSI to Salesforce, including product data, customer data, and a completely new look at all technology integrations. We seamlessly integrated with many of our tech stack partners to create a 360 consumer experience—elevating our email services, reviews platform, payment options, and social implementation. We then moved into UX, design, and art direction of content for the entire site, emails, social and digital marketing.

The first part of the redesign, was introduced new homepage and navigation designs, giving an immediate lift to the site's look and feel. We then moved on to the product listing pages, adding smart filters and relevant brand content alongside products. The product detail pages take discovery to new heights with beautiful imagery, descriptive language, and great design specifications.

The Explore Section

The Explore section was a home to a mix of campaign, editorial, social media, and social responsibility content. This section of the platform served as a communication channel to let the consumer know everything that was happening with the organization – an appropriate solution for a brand that uses products to make a larger, more meaningful impact on the world.
